In today’s global society, knowledge of a foreign language is increasingly important. It not only enhances competency in English, but explains the development of language in general. Most Oregon universities require two years of foreign language instruction for a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a first year proficiency for entrance. These can be acquired at COCC. Competency in one or more foreign languages is strongly recommended if you wish to continue into graduate school.
